Myra Brunson-Samuel, LISW-CP/S

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker Clinical Practice Supervisor (LISW-CP/S) in the state of South Carolina and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Winthrop University and have over 10 years’ experience as a social worker. I have worked in a host of settings that has afforded me firsthand knowledge to assist and meet my clients where they are.

I work with individuals, couples, and families. My specialties and areas of interest include depression, anxiety, life transitions, chronic illness, self-esteem, end-of-life issues, bereavement, and a host of other issues. I strongly believe in working collaboratively with clients, in a non-judgmental environment that fosters trust and freedom that is necessary for exploration and growth.

I have a profound respect for the courage it takes for someone to pursue therapy, and my goal is to help you unpack your story and discover new ways to create meaningful change, have better relationships, and generally feel better. I strive to create a space where people can safely express their vulnerability and build upon their strengths at their own pace.

Ashley Harp, LISW-CP/S

I am a licensed clinical social worker-practicing in the state of South Carolina. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina Upstate and a master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. I have worked with a variety of populations including children with chronic medical conditions, victims of crime and survivors of intimate partner violence, homeless families, disadvantaged youth and people with mental illness.

I believe it is my calling to help my clients get to a better place and live happier, more fulfilled lives. I hope to help you see your worth, understand your past and how you got to the present, and explore the possibilities for your future! I use a psychoanalytic approach which simply means that I will listen to your story from childhood up through adulthood to get an understanding of what has happened over your life that may be manifesting today and causing challenges for you.

The individuals and families I have worked with over my career have reintroduced me to myself as I share some of the same experiences they have. I particularly love working with young adult women, black men and survivors of intimate partner violence, I also specialize in helping those with relationship challenges.

I can help you process through what has happened to you or what you are currently feeling–at your pace. As a therapist that has a therapist, I understand that finding a good fit is a process. If you are ready to take the first step, please reach out to me and let’s see if we may work well together.
